A Monthly Virtual Assistant Report That Is Actually Useful
What a clear monthly report should show, and why a decorative activity chart is not enough.
A monthly report should help you decide what to continue, change or stop. It should not hide the month behind a chart with no explanation.
Completed work
List what was delivered and attach the relevant files, records or campaign links. Separate completed items from work still in progress.
Quality checks
Record what was reviewed, which corrections were needed and whether the same issue appeared more than once.
Useful outcomes
Report outcomes only when the source is clear. Examples include qualified replies, resolved support tickets or approved deliverables. Do not turn activity into an unsupported business claim.
Problems and decisions
Name the blocker, its effect, the person who owns the decision and the date it is needed. Urgent issues should be raised immediately rather than saved for month end.
The next plan
Set priorities, expected capacity and the work that may be paused. This gives the next month a practical starting point.
Monthly reporting is included in the operating rhythm across our three service areas.
